Company Overview: High-Tech Security is a growing company, provider of electronic security solutions specializing in the installation, maintenance, and support of access control systems, security systems, CCTV technologies & computer networks. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to join our team in the role of Integrated Security Systems Engineer. This position involves a unique blend of responsibilities encompassing electronic security system installation, maintenance, as well as network engineering tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in network infrastructure. Experience of electronic security, fiber connectivity and wireless communication is a plus.

We guarantee a minimum of 32 hours per week with a pay rate between $28-$32 p/h. You will be required to travel every now and then but mostly the work sites will be in Auckland.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement integrated security solutions that incorporate both electronic security systems and network components.
  • Install, configure, and maintain access control systems, security systems, and CCTV technologies according to client specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electronic security systems and network infrastructure.
  • Gathering equipment, supplies, materials and tools
  • Maintain inventory and stock, recommend the purchase of both technical and nontechnical supplies, and take responsibility for tools and equipment
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of security systems with existing network infrastructure.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal placement and setup of security equipment & network infrastructure if required.
  • Ensure compliance with all the rules and regulations
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal staff on the operation and maintenance of integrated systems.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electronic security technologies and networking protocols.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in network engineering principles, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption techniques, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Know-how of SQL Database is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently/unsupervised or as part of a team.
  • Excellent in time management
  • Analytical thinker and make things possible.
  • You should be a player to perform under pressure and/or to meet deadlines.
  • From time to time, you would be required to travel out of Auckland depending on the work site.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Efficient with paperwork.
